The great thing about being a teacher, among many things, is having breaks. I am not going to complain about how hard teachers have to work to earn those breaks, because I think its a pretty good trade, thats why I do it. Most people complain about one of two things, either not enough money or not enough time. By teaching I feel like I have plenty of money to do what I want to do, even if there isn’t always time when I am working, there is time on breaks to catch up on life. Over spring break I went to New York to check out a hostel in Brooklyn that I’ve been wanting to check out for awhile called The New York Loft hostel. Awesome experience, met fellow travelers and got to hang out in Brooklyn. After the hostel I spent time with a friend who moved up there around more than a year ago. I got to walk around in the freezing cold and snap some cool photos. It was delightful, and my fingers turned blue. But the great thing about visiting cold places (even if it was supposed to be spring) is I got to return to warm sunny Dallas, Tx.
